The Mediterranean Season Opener Expands Its Horizon
Palma International Boat Show (PIBS), returns from April 30 to May 3, 2025, launching the Mediterranean yachting season in spectacular style at Palma’s Moll Vell, right at the foot of the city’s iconic cathedral. Organised by ADR Balears and the Balearic Yacht Brokers Association, this annual event has become a cornerstone for the global yachting community, drawing more than 27,000 visitors and nearly 300 exhibitors in 2024 alone.
This year, the Palma International Boat Show grows even larger with the addition of a new 5,000-square-metre exhibition area at Club de Mar, connected to Moll Vell by a five-minute sea shuttle. This expansion allows the event to accommodate more companies and a greater variety of boats, with the Club de Mar area focusing on larger yachts, mainly sailboats between 40 and 100 metres, and onshore displays from service and equipment providers for these vessels.
The Palma Superyacht Village, formerly the Palma Superyacht Show, remains a major highlight, featuring a curated selection of 24m+ superyachts available for sale and charter, alongside a dedicated Refit & Repair area for industry professionals. The show’s segmented layout ensures visitors can easily explore everything from boat building and maintenance, electronics, navigation, and marine engines, to nautical sports, marinas, tourism services, and luxury equipment.
Beyond the boats, the event is a vital economic driver for the Balearic Islands, generating over €20 million in economic impact last year and helping to extend the local tourism season. Palma itself offers an array of attractions, from fine dining and art galleries to beautiful beaches and historic sites, making the show an unmissable event for industry professionals, yacht enthusiasts, and families alike.
The venue is easily accessible: a 10-15 minute taxi ride or 45 minutes by public bus from Palma’s international airport.
With its expanded footprint, world-class superyachts, and vibrant Mediterranean setting, the 2025 Palma International Boat Show is set to reaffirm its status as one of the nautical world’s premier gatherings.
